Are health & safety and workers’ rights protected in planting operations?

Due diligence ensures projects are ethically sound

As part of our and our partners' due diligence process, applicants and their funding applications are carefully appraised before approval. They must meet all our requirements, demonstrate that they operate safely and ethically, and observe the legal framework of their country. Most of the actual planting is carried out by the farmers and communities that benefit from the trees, with support and guidance from the charities and NGOs who have secured the funding. Anti-Slavery & Anti-Bribery policies are also in place to safeguard against exploitation and corruption.
